Holy God, Holy People

Holy God, Holy PeopleThe author of Hebrews reveals a sobering prerequisite for the Christian – “…without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14, NIV). Holiness is obviously a serious subject for God’s people and should be thoroughly understood. This seminar is designed to help one comprehend this abstract concept, and what God has put in place to help us achieve this lofty attribute. As we are to be holy like our holy God, the initial focus is to evaluate our triune God’s holiness. Scripture teaches that holiness is imparted at salvation, though progresses throughout one’s life. As such, the student is grounded in these important biblical teachings to lay a proper foundation. But how does this lifelong progression occur and what is its goal? What is our role? How does God’s Word play a part? What is the role of the Holy Spirit? What contribution does the church make? How does the world work against the development of holiness? These questions will be thoroughly explored to aid the student in their lifelong pursuit of holiness. Contemporary illustrations, practical insights, and reflective questions are presented to help attendees relate to the topic and evaluate their current condition.
